A few observations

A few observations

A few observations

We had a few observations when we got on to the number crunching part.

  1. Majority of responses are from SDRs with more than one year of experience, with the 12-24 months experience being the most common.

  2. Equal Ratio: About a quarter of the sample maintains a 1:1 ratio, meaning they have an equal number of SDRs and AEs.

  3. Early Stage companies overwhelmingly favor hiring SDRs with zero experience. This suggests that these companies may be looking for cost-effective hiring solutions and are open to training new hires from scratch.

  4. Most Common Ratio: The 70 : 30 and 80:20 base-to-variable pay ratio is the most common, with over 60% responses

  5. Minority Have ESOPs: Only 34.48% of SDRs have ESOPs.

  6. Most SDRs use a moderate number of technologies daily, with very few using a high number.

  7. Cold calling makes up most of the need to level up skills, emphasizing its importance in the SDR community.

Real Stories
Don't take our word for it.

  • What stood out to me were particularly data around SDRs rolling up to different growth orgs across company stages, tenurity, path to productivity, and how much of that pipeline eventually closes. It's clear to SDRs that this is the hardest job in sales, and can really propel careers to stardom. It was surprising to see insights around how well SDRs know their math, and how impactful their work is for the company's math to work out.incredible work! From one SDR to another, thank you!

  • Two things grabbed my attention: I always believed the US was the top region for sales, but it turns out APAC is leading the way. The report's salary range information is eye-opening. If you've been an SDR for more than two years, I strongly recommend considering an SDR leadership role or an Account Executive (AE) position, or else you will be stuck. As someone who's just starting out, these insights were a revelation. The report is full of valuable information.
